Default MVVS 40

Hello,
Can the 40 exhust be rotated after it has been run? I bought one used set up for side exhust. I'd like to change to rear.

Rick,

It is officially not recommended by MVVS, to change the orientation of the exhaust to any other position; after the engine has been run in a certain position.

Experience tells me, however, that it is possible; but you would have to redo the break-in, as described [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_1850473/tm.htm]right here[/link].

It will 'abbreviate' the P+L life somewhat, though; but this set is not very expensive from MVVS.

I too had quite good results in switching after the running in. It all depends how much time the engine has on it, and how it has been treated.

PS Dar, nice to see you posting here again.

A very good original question that has been burning a hole in my brain for a while and some equally good answers!

Nice thread guys.
