Impulse tubing MVVS 26 IFC
I need to replace the impulse tubing on my 26cc gasser. It is the tube that runs from the crankcase to the base of the carb and operates the pump diaphram. The tubing that came with the engine is clear and rather stiff but works great. I lost it during while working on the carb linkage. I tried some yellow Tygon tubing I use for gas lines but it seems to get soft. What would you recommend?

Tygon is OK, if you cut tygon rings, and put them on the tubing ends. That will prevent them from detaching when hot. If it still gets too hot for that to last, you need to do something about your cooling, or damage your engine.
The black neoprene tubing is excellent as well.

Mr. Smith,
Any thick-walled gasoline resistent tubing will do.
It could be translucent, or opaque, but it must be able to slide and hold onto the fittings/nipples.
It does not move a large amount of gas; just pressure pulses.
