Broken LED lead on Ignition Module
1 Attachment(s)
Hi,
I have an MVVS 26 gasser with the MSR ignition module. This is one of the earlier units that has the LED leads sealed in the unit. My newer units have a plug in lead. One of the lead wires has broken at the sealed area. Is there any way to reconnect the lead. I assume I would have to cut some of the "potting" material away to get to the solder area but don't know how. Any ideas? |
RE: Broken LED lead on Ignition Module
yes, remove some of the potting material to get to the printed CB.
Then take care that the lead out is fixed, so no loads can reach the soldered joint. BTW, this should be done with all leads coming out of the device. |

RE: Broken LED lead on Ignition Module
use hotmelt. That will do fine.
