MVVS Support Forum

Hi All,

For anyone who has any question about MVVS engines, caburettors, exhausts; whether needing more information about engine selection, of wanting an elaboration to the instructions, or having any problem with an MVVS that must be resolved.

This is the place to ask.

You can also add input, if there is something that you think I overlooked.

I am here for you.

I often have questions for Dar and am never disappointed in his advice, he "Knows his stuff". Often his valuable advice applies to other similar two strokes and is much more complete than factory instructions.
Congrats and keep up the good work:D

Hi Peter,

Thank you for the appreciation.

There is absolutely no reason that should prevent fitting a mousse can pipe to your engine.

You can contact Bob Adkins at this address: [email protected] .
It is best if you contact him, since you can tell him your intended RPM range and he can tell you the dimensions that you need for the MVVS .49.

The link you are referring to is for smaller engines.

Please take note that finding the needed materials in India, may cost you no less than getting a complete MVVS tuned silencer, providing you have the right source.

Peter, you need to be on the index page for the "new post" button to appear, you won't see it if you're looking at an individual thread.

Dar, good luck and have fun with this. just don't get to trigger happy with the "delete" button;)

I have a MWWS 77new, what is the % of oil for break in and after?

RE: MVVS Support Forum

Ampa,

For this engine, the manufacturer specifies 20% Castor oil. No less!

From my own experience, you can use fuel containing 20% synthetic/Castor oil mix, of which half is Castor oil.
The remainder must be good quality synthetic oil, produced specifically for use in methanol burning, model engines.

MVVS only allows less oil (10-15%) in its larger 26 cc and 35 cc glow engines and for all its spark ignition gas engines.

I am unfamiliar with the type of synthetic oil that you used, but what you have experienced in your Super Tigre G 15 cc, could be a result of using insufficient, or substandard oil in your fuel.

Don't even try this on your new MVVS!

I know there are some in RCU, who will swear on their Motul Micro and Aerosynth II/Aerosave, that 12%-15% synthetic oil is enough.
It will, however, cost you too much and the loss of the engine's warranty to try it.

So just don't.
