MVVS 58 - Prop and Pipe
Hi -
I had my MVVS stop on me in the weekend, I am running a 24 x 12 Mez, in a Composite ARF 2.3 Extra I am looking for info on suggested prop (when using the mvvs pipe) , suggested target revs, and temperature indication ( ie max temp ) - as we are looking at putting a baffle in the cowl Great engine - having a great time with it - so easy to start Dom |
RE: MVVS 58 - Prop and Pipe
Dom,
MVVS state the following: Measured with Mejzlik C/F props and with the #3204 canister muffler. 26x10 - 6,000 RPM 24x10 - 7,000 RPM Mejzlik and Bolly C/F props offer less resistance than wide blade, wooden props, like Bolly, or Menz, so they can be spun faster by a typical engine. Typically, with Bolly, a wood 22x8 will spin as fast as a C/F 22x10. |
RE: MVVS 58 - Prop and Pipe
I've been using a Mejzlik 24 12 prop with a Bisson muffler and 91 octane 40/1 (2t OIL) and have tach 6800 plus rpm just below full throtle. I've used other props but like the mejzlik best.
