MVVS 35cc

I have the MVVS 2.15 my question is, is the stock muffler too restrictive?

Ian,

It is rather small in volume, if you are referring to the #3298/35, for an engine of this displacement.

MVVS have always had the #3271 Pitts style muffler, as well as the #3268+#3269 tuned-pipe and header combo.

They are rather inexpensive, compared to those offered by other engine manufacturers.

The stock muffler as such does not exist with MVVS engines. The leacky very compact black side muffler is no longer produced, and yes, it is very restrictive like Dar said, especially if the seam is soldered to solve the leaks. An added extra stinger pipe brings up the power again.
Since that muffler is made of steel stampings, brazing is very eazy.
