Default Lets see your Ultimate 120's!

Lets see your 1.20 size Ultimates, the white and yellow version. Curious to see pictures of the quality of the aircraft from a flyer like myself. I am seriously considering, sounds like a good deal if the shipping to east coast canada isn't out rageous. Would either power it by a Saito 1.50 or a OS 1.60FX.

Thankss

I have the older "pink" version which is heavier.

It flies pretty well with an O.S. 1.20..

The new and lighter yellow version should do VERY well with the 1.20, and really rock with either of the engines you mentioned.

That would be a great match, especially if you keep things on the light side so that you would get good verticals.

That's what I use on my older and MUCH heavier version, and mine has aux battery packs, smoke pump, etc.

It hovers but doesn't have a lot of pull out power. The lighter newer version should do fine.

It's a - BIG - box!!!

Pretty standard rate. It costs me the same for a similary sized box to the east coast of the U.S.

Welcome to the world of high oil prices.

You are correct, I Couldn't get it cheaper anywheres myself. Looks like a Goldberg knock-off, hope it will fly aswell as the Goldberg does.

If it's ANYTHING like my "Pink" version ( which it is almost identical in profile, etc. ) you'll love it.

It flies great.

Change out the tail wheel, re-inforce the landing gear mount area and the firewall.

I've actually left on the provided gear.

Some people complain that they are a bit soft, but I prefer that the gear splay out on an overly hard landing, protecting the plane...

I merely bend them back at the field when this happens and fly again...

I got a YS 110 FZ in mine. The YS motors are known for power so it hovers at 25% throttle. Had a rough landing on it after I deadstick it by running out of fuel. But the plane is still in good shape.

Looks like an O.S. 1.20 FS.

Ugh they cut such a large hole in the cowl because of the side mount.

An inverted mount looks great on this plane and eliminates the need for such ugly cutouts.

The plane does NOT have a tendancy of nosing over so this is not problematic.

I fly mine with the engine inverted.

That last set of pictures is of my ultimate. It had a Brillelli 26cc gasoline engine in it.

I had a rough landing with it which resulted in a bent up landing gear, and broken wheel pants.

I have since sold the engine, and was looking for replacement parts for the bipe. I need the landing gear, wheelpants, and a new cowl for a different engine.

I contacted Nitroplanes many times. At first they directed me to a link of spare parts, but there wasn't anything for this plane on that link. Then they told me that they were working on it, and somebody would get back to me. Now, they don't even reply to my emails!![:@] That's some customer support that they have there. I'll never buy anything from them again.

The ultimate just sits in the corner now, taking up space. I'll probably never fly it again unless someone out there has the parts that I need. Such a waste.

Thanks for the great service there Nitroplanes.[:'(]

Actually they are pretty good....

You should have come HERE first if you wanted help... ( not obvious of course... ) the people who answer the phone don't really handle support.

The Customer Service is not bad if you know how to get help from them.

So here goes:

Contact John here by leaving a message via PM here.

He checks in regularly and will take care of your requests. He's sent me replacement for the yellow Ultimate w/o problems.

Give him a couple of days to answer. If he does not get back to you in 2-3 days, PM me and I'll tell you what to do next.

I had to add about 2 ounces to the tail of the plane to get it to fly the way I wanted it to. I tend to fly my planes a little tail heavy.

I just recieved my 120 today. I have a another plane sitting on the workbench right now so i cant get started on it yet. I must say, that the plane looks fantastic. It was VERY well packed and the covering is immaculate. I enjoy 3d and am planning on putting an os 120 on it. Hope its enough to pull out of hover. Thanks for the nice product and very quick delivery.
