Airfield/FMS P-51 Propeller Assembly
Hello. I just joined this site and getting back into the hobby again. I just got my Airfield(FMS)P-51 this week from nitroplanes. Looks great but had a few questions that hopefully someone can help me with.
1. My propeller tips did not come pre-painted yellow. They shipped yellow stickers for the prop tips (see pic). Did the tips come pre-painted in the past? Is this new?
2. What is the proper propeller assembly order? I was sent 3 prop washers in the kit. Am I supposed to use all of them (see pic)? I assume the order would be: (starting from the base of the prop shaft):
- 1 prop washer - tapered side away from base of shaft,
- Spinner plate and prop assembly
- 1 prop washer - tapered side away from spinner plate
- Prop nut
- Spinner
3. There is an octangle opening on the back of the spinner plate (see pic). Is this somehow supposed to fit OVER the square metal base of the prop shaft(if I am not supposed to use a prop washer first) or should it just rest up against the base of the shaft?
Thank You.
