Why do I like Nitroplanes.com? I like them because of the prices. That's about it. The thing is, it's a hit or miss with their products. I made a big order for Christmas, 2 planes and two lipo batteries. The lipo batteries work fine. The planes, so far, don't. The first plane I put together wouldn't even fly. The CG was all off and I've read a number of posts and many say the instructions put the CG too far forward. The other plane, which I'm still putting together, has wrinkles all over the place. I spent hours trying to get them out with no success. So far, I'm 0 for 1 in regards of getting my plane off the ground as I totaled the first plane after crashing it twice because of bad CG. I'm scared to fly my second plane as I don't want to crash that one. It's ridiculous. I shouldn't have to go look on forums for planes I buy from nitroplanes.com to see if the CG is correct because I can't trust the instructions. My Great Planes Sportster EP I got a few weeks ago flies like a dream. Maidened it yesterday without a problem. The prices on nitroplanes.com may be cheap, but it doesn't matter if the plane crashes and burns the first two flights. There went $50 that I can't get back. We'll see if I have any success on my second plane. I would contact nitroplanes.com regarding the crash, but I know I wouldn't get anywhere. Already tried contacting them 3 times on another matter and that went ignored. Big surprise.

You know that i have never bought from nitro planes and i never will, there prices are good and i have a friend that buys all of his planes there and they look nice and he has not had one problem as of yet but the insructions he never uses them except for the CG and you just cannot go by what they have for the CG on the airplanes, also i have been told that if you do buy a plane from nitro to go over the whole plane and reglue the joints and that to is easy enough o do, i bought a cap 232 sport from great planes and even though i paid maybe 150 more dollars, i have never been short on one part and if so i is in the mail the very next day and the plane will take your breath away it is just so beutiful and so well packaged, i made an order at central hobbies from mandy a women that knows every thing about there products and a few minutes later i called back to add something to the order and to late it had already gone out, even if i order something small it is in my mail box within two days if not the next day, it is worth the money to look at the cap i have, i just love it, and the service is even better.

Hi, I wouold like it if you would just answer your Phone instead of letting it ring and then changing to a bussy signal.

Yeah, I get the same thing. I called 5 times, and I either get a busy signal or an answering machine. There website says they'll answer emails with 48 hours. That didn't happen. It doesn't matter if nitroplanes.com is trying to get their customers better customer service. The ones that don't receive it are out of luck. And the ones who did receive it probably had to pull teeth to get it. To be honest, someone from Nitroplanes did get back to me because of the negative stuff I wrote about in the forums, but the funny thing was, he wasn't even familiar with the products their company was selling. I knew more than he did. That's great customer service!!!

We're constantly working to improve the phone system...IT'S OUR BIGGEST PROBLEM NOW AND WE KNOW IT... but honestly, we do our best to pick up calls from 12-7..then again, it's the internet age nowadays and our business model is based on the internet, not that much on phone orders anymore.....however, we'll still be staffing more people and gonna add a few AMA guys to our team so hopefully we'll get things rolling faster in a positive direction early this year...and i admit 90% of the people on RCU know more about our products than us but that doesnt mean we don't know what we're selling...this past year, we've recruited alot of key engineers and invested alot of $$$ in quality machines to bring in models at an affordable price...some models may not be as good as your expectation for the money, but it'll be a constant improvement over times...and if you look at it statistically, we continue to gain new and repeat customers everyday so stats tell me that we're not that bad...the bad part was probably not attending to customer needs but again, we're doing all those already!!!

Well if the phone system is the problem, than be honest and tell people your not answering calls and obviously not returning calls.

You are operating in the internet age, so get with it.

Respond to e-mails
Have a correct inventory on line
Don't send out shipping notification for things that are not shipping
Have a web searchable status for orders (not a bogus tracking #)

How about answering me.

Why bother? The products seem to be a good value for those with experience to get past the shortcomings and verify all assembly (at least give good C.G.s to get people in the ballpark for maiden flights). The customer service is sorely lacking and corrections would drive customer delight.

A technical section online may help with CGs, assembly clarifications, addendums, etc. NP should not rely on RCU for supplying this data.

The website is decent and easy to navigate. However, it lacks most information of the items.
I like their video reviews of their product. It gives the customer ideas on what to expect on their planes.
Products are decent but you may have to replace and upgrade if you want it to last.

What I don't like is their shipping charges and business practice of charging the customer outrageous shipping for UPS which cost a flat rate of $10 then they send your item via USPS which only charge a couple of dollars.
They should realize that the shipping is not being paid by them but by their customer and their customer expect this service if that was on the receipt. Just be aware of this before buying from this store.
