Nitro Models Extra 300S 72"

I am getting close to finishing a CMP Extra 300S w/72" wingspan and would appreciate any input from people who have them.

One question I do have is where did you balance it? I can't believe the directions are correct and would certainly hate to see it meet it's demise on the maiden. They say to balance it 200mm out from the fuse and 115-125mm back. That seems certainly way tail heavy to me.

Any suggestions on balance position and or anything else would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thank you all kind flyer's,
John

Post a scan of the C.G. page so we can see.

Usually the Extra's C.G. is measured at the wing root.

Those figures read as if they were for the 1.40 instead.

You could also use any of the online C.G. calculators which will probably do a better job for you.

Thanks Opjose,

My scanner won't work with this new Vista Operating system, but you are correct in guessing that this is the CMP Extra 300S 140.

Thank you for your help.

Ah...

There is a thread here where someone posted the C.G. for the 140.

Search on CMP Extra 300S and you'll find it.

That person measured at the wing root.
