Default What prop for OS .46 FX?

I got a broken in os .46 fx, and a new pattern plane for it will come tommrow! Anyways: What would be the most efficient prop to use in a pattern plane (Weight 5.5 lb)?

12.25x3.75 <- People at my club say the prop would be way to big for the .46 FX

Use a propeller that will turn the engine in the mid-to-high 12,000's, and fly your model the way you want it to fly. We really can't give you an "exact" prop. Start out with a 10 x 7 or 8, or 11 x 6 or 7 to see. Also, different brands of the same-size propeller will turn different RPM numbers because of airfoil thickness, blade profile, etc.

You should eventually find a prop that's ideal for your airplane/engine combination.
