Default Position of Fuel Tank

I have three OS 70 surpass. They are good engines. However when I position them inverted I have alot of reliability problems. Only when inverted. It tends to cut when I go to full throttle on takeoffs. It does not idle cleanly.

What is the final word on the position of the fuel tank relative to the carb when the engine is inverted? Do you need an onboard glow for an inverted engine? Do you also lose power when you use the "Slimline inverted pitts muffler"?

Default Position of Fuel Tank

For information on running an engine in the inverted position, see:

Always set the position of the fuel tank so that the centerline of the fuel tank is at the same level as the center of the carburetor or no more than 3/8" or so lower.
