Default on board glow

Bax: I have a question I was in the process of installing on board glow for a older os120 four stroke the motor has always been dependable, so I installed in a new plane this time upside down it runs great but doesn't want to idle at low rpm, I left my glow stick on it and idles fine. So I was going to install a micro switch to activate glow battery at idle and was wonder why I couldn't just leave the 1.5 battery on the glow plug the entire flight, usually about 8 minutes, other than watching the battery voltage would it cause a problem with the engine doing this? thanks......

Running power through the glow plug constantly will shorten its life somewhat. You really don't need to do that, but you can.
