Default OS FS-48 bearing questions

Hello, I have a nib FS-48 and am mounting it on a dazzler. I noticed that the bearings feel pretty rough. The rest of it looks new. No signs of corrosion. I dripped kroil in it and on front bearing but doesn't seem any better. Does hobby services still support this engine? Will running it possibly smooth out the bearing? What do you suggest?

thank you!

The rear bearing is no longer available. The front bearing is, but that's because it's also used on a bunch of other engines.

It looks like boca bearings may have the right bearing. Is it possible for hobby services to use an aftermarket bearing? I'm just not sure I can change it myself. Thank you!

Unfortunately, as the O.S. service center, we are limited to using only O.S. parts.

Its not rocket science to rebuild these little gems just take your time and don't force anything. One of the better books for novices rebuilding common rc motor is http://www.harryhigley.com/Books2.htm All About Engines. I know they have a detailed section using an OS four stroke with pictures and instructions. Once you start you will never rely on someone else to fix your motors.

There are several videos on YouTube on the dis-assembly, bearing removal, and reassembly of OS four stroke engines such as https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_HrTCCO-GY.
