I have recently purchased "two" OS FS-26 four stroke engines.
I would like to know how do you know what the serial numbers are?
All I have found on the underside of one of the mounting lugs are two letters. One is "AH" and the other is "FH"
Does the "H" mean they were built I the same year?
Does the "A" stand for January and the "F" stands for June?

They don't have serial numbers. The letters on the bottom of one of the mounting lugs is a production batch number. It bears no resemblance to year/month or such. It has meaning only to O.S.
