Default OS 65 AX won't turn over

Hello, I purchased a new OS 65 AX engine the other day, and I can't turn it over by hand. I was told that it comes from the factory that way, and I just need to heat it up to get it to turn over to break it in. My question is, how do I heat it up.

A hair dryer or heat gun. The liner is tapered and the piston will stick close to or at TDC. The taper in the liner relaxes and straightens as it heats up.

Jack, you will only need to do the heating suggested on the first start. The engine will loosen it up after your first run and you will be able to turn it over by hand then. My last 3 engines from OS have been extremely tight, which is desired.

If the engine is not tight after the first run, that is not desired.
