Default OS 70 Heli engine

The new engine, 70SZH, is due in stock in late August, stock # OSMG1972, retail price of $449.99 with a street price anticipated roughly around $300.

The .70 SZ-H Ring Engine from O.S. is designed with the FAI F3C competitor in mind. This will also give the 3-D pilot the power edge over the standard .60 size engines. Two extra mounting lugs on the front of the engine allow the modeler to mount the engine securely in helicopters with mounts designed for this purpose. 3-needle carb for tuning precision.

FEATURES: Ringed for long life.
3-needle carb for ultimate tuning precision

SPECS: Displacement 11.50cc 0.702cu. in.
Bore 25.8mm 1.016in.
Stroke 22.0mm 0.866in.
Output 2.5ps@16,000r.p.m.
Practical r.p.m. range 2,000-18,000r.p.m.
Weight 553.5g 19.5oz.

COMMENTS: This engine will fit in most .60 size helicopters, and should work well without the need for gear changes.

what's the brake h.p. of the 61sxwc? I run mine on 30% c/p and a muscle pipe. Is it worth it to upgrade?

61 is 2.2 PS vs the 70 being 2.5 HP...an increase of more than 10%.

Sorry i've not run the new engine at all and can't even try to comment subjectively on the value of an upgrade.
