The O.S. Max .61 SF is a fine engine in its own right. The main problem people had was putting too much propeller on it and running it too slowly. It should be propped to run in the mid- to high-11,000's. We normally ran a 12 x 7 or 12 x 8 APC prop.

The only thing we can add is that a properly-tuned exhaust system will contribute to the output of the engine.

The O.S. header and pipe are:

OSMG2710 72101230 EXHAUST MANIFOLD 61SF $44.99
OSMG2943 72101120 TUNED PIPE .61 HANNO $164.99

While the pipe was specifically for the Hanno, properly-tuned it will work with the non-Hanno engines.

Both are available and can be ordered through any hobby retailer who sells O.S. Max engines and accessories.
