Default V-spec bearings?

I ran across a picture of what looked like a new o.s. vzb v-spec. I'm a big fan of this engine since I bought one and have been running it in my 1/8th scale buggy. I will definately buy another v-spec. I was just wondering if I should wait for the release of the new v-spec before I bought another one. Mine is doing great and I'm looking to buy one this summer. The one I saw in this picture was at a european hobby expo and it had a black cooling head. Any info would be great, thanks.

We've no word on this. Did you see someone's mod?

I'm not sure if it was a mod or factory display since it was a close up and all you could see was the engine. I do know it was a hobby expo in Europe though. I will try to locate where I saw it and post a link and a picture. Thanks for the reply.

We've found out that the engine is a standard .21 VZ-B V-spec with a custom black cylinder head. It's not a new engine. The regular V-spec cylinder head was just colored black for one of the European drivers.

Again, it's not a new engine.

Ok, guess I got my hopes up for nothing. One more thing, has o.s. engines upgraded the crankshaft bearings in the v-spec? Are they working on it? If not, will they replace them under warranty?

Bax, are you ignoring me or did I stump you? I haven't gotten a response from you in a few days yet you have helped other people. It would be corteous to at least reply with a "I look into that" or "I'll get back to you on that one". What gives?
