Default FS-91SII-P Muffler?

Can I run just a flex extension on this motor, or do I need to have a muffer installed? Will it harm the valves? What is a good starting point on the needle valve, how many turns out?

Thanks Jim

The engine will run fine without a muffler. It'll just be noisier. If it wasn't for the fact that oil gets all over, you could even run the engine with no exhaust stack at all.
