Default OS Ft-160 Twin PROBLEMS

Hi
I have a OS FT-160 Twin and am having problems.
This is the older FT-160 with the air bleed carb.
It ran great last year, just choked it , turned the prop a few times and it started with the first or second flip.
Took it out of storage this year and gave it it's first run up, started as usual.
took it out a week later and it refused to run. At one time it was running on 1 cylinder, then when trying to restart it kicked a few times , ran very briefly , but would not continue to run. Flipped and flipped and no luck. Not the usual start I have come to expect
Every now and then it finally starts and runs on both cylinders, but after shutting it down it refuses to start
It has on board ignition and both plugs are glowing nicely. Battery voltage OK
Removed the carb and cleaned it out. Removed needle valves, both low and high and cleaned them and reset to factory settings.
Checked valve clearances- all OK. All pushrods moving nicely
Checked compression -OK
Drawing fuel from the tank fine
New fuel
What am I missing
Any advise appreciated , Thanks

It would be difficult to say what your engine's problem may be. You may need to disassemble it and clean the valve train. It's possible a valve is sticking. Please note that if you have good compression, good fuel, and good glow plugs, the engine will fire and run as long as it's getting a proper fuel mixture.

You may want to install brand-new glow plugs and double-check the fuel system from the interior of the fuel tank, out to the fuel inlet nipple on the carburetor.

If all else fails, remove the engine from the model and put it on a test stand to run it. That will tell you everything you need to know.

Make sure it isn't all rusted up..
Start by taking the Back plate off and having a look..

MAke sure you line up the 2-dots on the valve wheel and on the crank shaft..

The pict is of the camshaft
There is a dot on the crankshaft as well..
Place them right next to each other so they are inline with each other...
This makes sure you timing is correct.
