Default crankshaft movement after bearing replacement

I have all of the alpha's. on 3 of 4 of them I needed to replace the bearings for rust. I have done so successfully. My question is that I notice a very small amount of forward to back movement in the crankshaft with the new bearings seated. it might be as much as 1 mm. the engines all seem to be running fine and the movement is only after the engine warms up. Is this normal? they do not appear to be rubbing their backplate and the engines get good rpms. no overheating.... any thoughts?

Default RE: crankshaft movement after bearing replacement

You may be seeing the movement of the inner race. A small amount is nothing to worry about. Usually, it's just enough to feel, but barely visible.
