.46AX frame size

I would like to swap out my .40FX (although brand new) for a .46AX ; my Aeronca Champ at 6lbs. is a little chubby and the cowl is cut perfect for the .40FX.
Is the .46AX dimensionally a clone, or am I missing something.

The two are vitually identical.
