1978 os 90 fsr rebuiold questions
 

i am rebuilding this engine have bearings in and its ringed . #1 there is an arrow on top of piston should it face exhaust side or the other side.
#2 when installing piston and sleeve is there a certain way to get this in correct so ring stays on stop with piston. also would like to put a new ring in this engine to freshin it up , any input on where to get one

contacted this service and will be getting ring and gasket set still would like to know the correct way to install the piston and liner so ring remains on location . i am versed in all aspects of rebuilding but this is always puzzling to me . hit and miss and take apart and recheck there has to a certain way to do this failsafe .
