.15FP CL vs RC question

Hi.
Bought a .15FP engine NIB on Ebay a while back and didnt realize it was a CL and not an RC engine till I received it.
Can I just put a carb on it? I bought the proper one from Tower (#15 carb) so I know it fits as far as bolting the sucker on but I had heard something about CL engines being ported and timed differently from RC engines.
I havent tried to run it yet and wondering if I would just be wasting my time trying before I wasted my time trying.
Thanks in advance!

Except for carburetion, the O.S. Max .15 FP and .15 FP.S are identical. You can put the .15 FP carb on the control-line version with no problems. Here are the stock numbers and list prices of the parts you asked about:

OSMG2486 21781000 CARBURETOR #15 .15 FP US$31.99

These parts can be ordered through any hobby retailer who sells O.S. Max engines and accessories.

Excellent!
Already have the carb installed. Only heard the timing/porting rumor afterwards.
Thanks!:D
