Need some help Bax!!!

I made a bonehead mistake yesterday. I have a OS 46 FXI and i broke the nipple on the needle valve going to the carb.(plastic nipple). I have ordered a new one from Tower Hobbies.
My question is that i glued the nipple back on with CA glue and its holding, but will the fuel cause CA to lose its bond or will it be OK?

I just wanna fly in the meantime while waiting for my part to arrive.

Thanks for your help,

Sean

Nitro in fuel will tend to dissolve the CA you used. If you get the assembly really clean and oil-free, J.B. Weld epoxy will do the job, as long as you don't block the fuel passage. Roughen-up the sides of the area with a bit of sandpaper first, so the glue will hold.

Thanks for the 411 Bax!!!! My new needle valve should get here any day now. My plane flew great all weekend on the CA fix. Although I never got far from the runway, too nervous about the glue losing its bond.

Thanks for the reply and happy flying!!!!

Sean
