hi


Please help me, i put my os 61fx (10 hours use) in a tiger 60 , whit a os tuned muffler 12x8 apc prop. ok all perfect, but i change fuel to wildcat premium (16% oil 15% nitro), first tank fine, 6 or 7 flights later the engine loss power, rpms and compression. WHY????????

16% oil content fuel is a bit low on the oil. O.S. states in their instructions that fuel with no less than 18% oil should be used. Your engine may have had an overheat from too little oil. That would damage the piston/cyliner liner fit and lower compression. This will cause performance to go bad.

I think the same, I was not request by 16% oil
is a mistake of who sale me. but he assures that the reason of loss power as was not that.
how i can be sure.

The symptoms indicate that the engine has had an overheat, unless there's been foreign object ingestion. A teardown will reveal the difficulty.

When you change fuels, you must completely reset the carb. You richen the high-speed needle and then get it readjusted to just rich of peak. Many people say that they rarely, if ever, adjust their engines once they get a good setting. This is a prescription for short engine life, since the engine will change settings frm day-to-day as the weather changes, let alone as you change fuels.
