Breaking in Question

I just got my OS 30VG and I would like to break it in but I'm not sure if i should since i live in Minnesota and its cold out. Its around 30 deg. here, is it ok to break in a motor if its that cold? I have a shop that heated up too around 50 deg., would it be ok if i got it running in there and then took it outside or should i just wait all togeather? If it is too cold how cold is too cold?

Thanks for your help!

RE: Breaking in Question

Usually, when ambient temperatures get below about 40 degrees F, model engines can become problematic to run. Usually, though, the main problem is the modeler getting too cold. If you get your engine started and drive it around, you'll be OK. It will cool well and develop good power. As it breaks in, you'll be able to lean the engine towards peak RPM. As long as it's on the rich side of peak, you'll be OK.
