OS 40 Max Muffler
 

Lost the tail cone on a O/S 40 Max Muffler in flight.

What a great engine - what are my options on for replacing it. Any third party mufflers that would easily fit?

Was the screw still on the muffler after you were able to land?

The tail cone is the same as the one on the 46FX and the 40/46LA so you should be able to get your LHS to order the part for you. There's lots of those series of engines out there, maybe someone has a spare muffler you can get the part off of...

There are a number of after-market mufflers you can use. You'd find better response in the General Glow engines forum. The replacement O.S. muffler should also be available.
