FL-70 Problems
I have a real dilemma here to anybody who can help me. My O.S. FL-70 is really giving me some problems lately. I recently got into a very minor crash with my sig 4* and now things seem to be going haywire. Since the repair of the plane there is no damage to the engine what so ever, or could there really be some damage. I have only had around 30 flights out of it and it has had a tremdous loss of power. I brought it to the field on Saturday and I could not get the thing to tuned for anything. I would get it tuned, but as soon as it got into the air it was a noticable decrease in rpms. Well, the everybody got around it and tried tuning it and the only way that it could keep it RPMs was to keep it really lean. At that point I wont have a engine left. We checked the lines and nothing was wrong. But, when we checked the Needle valve, when we would put a slight pressure on it and the rpm's would change. I even checked that, and they told me to put tubing around the threads to plug the leak (Not sure if this worked though). SO to make a long story short, I though I plugged all the air leaks but it is still have a very bad time with its RPM's the guys at the field think I may even need to adjust the valves. But, it has only had around 30 flights on it? SO what do you guys think it is? ANything would help at this point. I bought the engine new a couple months ago.
