OS 30VG Compression ?
I recently bought a new OS 30VG and I noticed that even when new I could turn the motor over by hand using the flywheel (with some difficulty). After a about 1/2 gallon thru I can easily turn the motor over by hand, there is still some resistance when turning it over and the engine runs fine. Is this a characteristic of the ABL type engine? I also have a OS .21 VZB V-Spec which is an ABC engine and even after a gallon of fuel thru it I cannot turn the engine over by hand. I am currently using Trinity Monster 30% nitro with 12% oil.

Me too, I just got mine back from warranty and they sent me a brand new engine. I did notice that I can turn it over by hand pretty easily. |
RE: OS 30VG Compression ?
So is that normal (to be able to turn over a new engine by hand)?

RE: OS 30VG Compression ?
Different engines have different specs. The .30 VG is more of a "sport" engine than racing, so will be a bit looser in the piston/cylinder fit.
