91 surpass factory mixture setting

RE: 91 surpass factory mixture setting

There really isn't a "factory" setting. Just open the high-speed needle valve about 2-1/2 turns out from closed and go from there.

RE: 91 surpass factory mixture setting

I wasn't talking about the high speed needle adjustment, the manaul calls it the mixture adjustment screw but most people call it the low speed needle or idle needle and on the surpass 2 the factory setting is 2 turns from the bottom but the surpass 2 has a differnt carb than the older surpass

According to the instructions, you close the throttle, and gently turn the idle mixture screw clockwise until it stops. Then turn it back out 2-1/2 turns for the non-pumped engine, and 2 turns for the pumped engine.
