Two questions,,,,,,,,,,,,what has happend to the 70fl and surpass engines and can the carb be reversed on the new 56fs to put the throttle arm on the right? Can't find a manual anywhere on the new 56fs. Anyone know where i might find one to download?

The O.S. FS-70 Surpass and FL-70 engines have both been replaced by the FS-72A.

It does look like the carb can be turned around on the FS-56A engine. The manual is not yet in electronic format for download. Available soon.

Thanks Bax. I was afraid that was the answer.

What advantages does the FS72A have over the FS70 Surpass II? Both these are available to me for purchase at relatively the same price point

The FS-72a is a new engine that will have parts available for a longer period of time than the FS-70. Also, it has the newer styling that O.S. is putting into their new engines.

Both of these are aesthetic improvements (No offence meant). I am into 3d and want a reliable, powerful and durable engine. Obviously OS wants to push the 72A but which is the better for my application? I will be flying 10% nitro, plain castor.

Either will do well.
