Anyone with Jetski/PWC knowledge help!

1 Attachment(s)
Hi guys!
We just bought our first jetski, a BUILT 1996 Sea-Doo HX. We put a battery in it, but haven't starteed it yet, when we picked it up, the guy put on a batt. and it started right up. My question is, there is a hose with an attachment that leads to what looks like a fuel filter, but it is attached to nothing. What is it and is that how it should be? I have it circled in the pics below.

Thanks!!

Also, the clear tube by the battery is the vent tube, as it is a liquid electrolyte battery.

I think that large hose is the oil injection line. What does the large hose go to? You may have better results if you ask here:

www.sea-doo.net and www.seadooforum.com

Many of the members have extensive see doo and rotax experience.

It isn't oil injected though, it is premix only...

You actually premix the fuel and oil before filling the tank? Or is it a seperate oil and gas tank?

some have vents inline . someone might have used a check valve for a oneway vent . best to pick a book for the long run . i work on boats all day every day so good luck but from the photos i cant help

that is a one way valve just leave it alone most likly it just vents to air . or vise versa , ake sure if you use a battery with a vent ( non sealed ) use the clear hose dangling near the battery so if it were to spill it wont be in the hull
