RE: This made my day.
The house I grew up in was right across the alley from another house that had a bunch of grapes growing. The grapes were never really harvested, so they would go bad and ferment around October. Crows would just gorge themselves on these fermented grapes, then get too drunk to fly. I remember getting home from school and finding about 10 drunk crows in my back yard. They just kind of roll around on the ground, or fly into stuff trying to take off.

It begs the question about how conscious animals are, I wonder what they're thinking. Confusion? Fear? Euphoria? Or are they even capable of emotion?

Those monkeys in the Caribbean or where ever like to get drunk they do it all the time. According to the tv show. So I figure they know what it does. Probably does the same thing that it does to humans.

Some farmers in the UK (although not many it has to be said) give their livestock a lot of beer. Theory is it makes the animals lazy so they don't move much, makes them taste better. Some go a step further and massage them which helps makes their meat more tender.
