Standard? The layout is sorta common, but I designed and machined every part except the driveshafts. And the angle works fine. The max for those trunnions is nearly 60 degrees.

The board on top is where I went a little nuts.

It has drive and steering controllers (servo motors), 4 switching power supplies, WiFi for weather conditions, GPS, altitude and heading reference, switches for every function, a small computer for data collection, and the receiver sitting up there at top right. 9 channels.

There is no AI whatsoever. Everything is controlled by the transmitter. What was I thinking?

I did work for that agency while designing much of it. Hence the logo on the board.

I was thinking the same thing. I dunno, but the conversation is fun. Makes me miss the past when this thread was out of control.

yeah, forums are all but dead. iv watched every forum i use (RC and otherwise) shrivel up and several are actually gone. sad to see 10+ years of info and builds go away like that.
i remember the heyday of the RCCA forums back in the late 90's. log off at 10pm. log back on when you got home from school and you're thread was 3 pages back and your inbox was full of post notifications. threads going 20 and 30 pages in the matter of a week.
hell i remember forums being rivals. you're a member of this forum, that persons a member of that forum. you run into them on a third forum or someplace and you had beef! lol
thems was the good ol' dayz. back before social media doomed society and turned everyone into a lazy self centered attention whoring narcissist

What's wrong with *****s? Hehe.

I do see your point. Social media is the opiate of the masses... immediate return, and that put the forum threads to the grave. I still like this, though, because the archiving means tons of useful information and the only way we used to do it.

Very. Loss of attention span coupled with the dire need for the next 'compelling' entertainment. A loss.
