To get back on topic,
I see NASCAR as part of American past times. Through all these years, American motor companies have been sponsoring NASCAR with their makes of vehicles. I really think that Toyota, being Japanese, would "butt in" to our American tradition. I really don't have anything against Toyota, but I just disagree with them entering the American world of NASCAR. I guess you could say I'll be slightly unhappy for this season, and it would definitely be a shame to see Toyota blow Chevy, Pontiac, Ford, etc. out of the water (like the Florida, vs. Ohio State game
) in their first season running. In a non-American sense, just keep the tradition of the companies providing NASCAR now too. It's been like this for as long as I've been following the sport and a new company may just flare problems in the season. I don't know, I'm just throwing ideas out there based on what I think. You could say I'm against Toyota joining NASCAR, but not completely, only to keep the regular/American tradition of the sport.

The only Toyota parts of the car would be the body design and the engine...everything else is built from an american NASCAR chassis. Fact.
I'm totally against Toyota running in NASCAR, for the same reasons ssj2 mentioned. It's like China making a football team and coming here to play in the NFL.
NASCAR doesn't care, it all comes down to money for them. Of course, it could backfire and worsen the already-declining attendance rate at the tracks. Whatever.
NASCAR has gotten so commercialized, I don't pay much attention to it anymore.

My Feedback: (1)

Seeing how the Camry's are US made they should be alowed to race. Really, how much of your GM, FoMoCo or MoPar's are still made in the US? Lee Iacocca was smoking people when he told in TV ads years ago that Chrysler products were made in the USA. Caravan's are made in Canada! How many other parts are coming from out of Mexico or Asia?
Toyota is providing jobs for Americans so why not let them race? They've done very weel in the NCTS but that doesn't mean that they can beat the Nextel Cup boys. They'll have a learning curve just like when the Big 3 do every time that they make a big body change.
Look at Indy cars and how many Honda's are running.
Drag racing. The Funny Car class has Chrysler Hemi's under the 'glas and the bodies are almost identical except for paint and decals making them appear to be something else.
It's a little late ot be discussing this as we have nothing to say about Toyota being in the Cup chase. They've got old drivers for the most part as Mike and Dale aren't exactly spring chickens. How long will they be able to stay behind the wheel?
Cubic dollars will only get you so far. The rest is talent and setup.

Toyota builds 10 vehicle models in the US. The Avalon, Camry, Corolla, Sequoia, Sienna, Solara, Tacoma, Tundra, Lexus RX330 and the Camry hybrid. They are building a new plant to bring production of the Prius here, from Japan. The Corolla and Tacoma are built here in northern California. Whether or not they participate in NASCAR makes no difference to me. Like Collector said above, most of the stock car is not stock at all, and with all of the tens of thousands of people TMMNA employs here, most of the Toyotas seen on the road were built by Americans anyway.
Just a little info....
I will defer to the NASCAR fans for the rest.
Just a little info....

Meh, forget Toyota, I'd like to see them run a Elise.

and on the ignore list you go... duh, the elise has a toyota engine

If anyone has been paying attention to lap times, they aren't in the upper half of the other times.
its pretty dumb that toyota is in a racing series that toyota never made engines for to begin with. I do not recall toyota ever having a pushrod v8... so i start to wonder where toyota got the technology in the truck class. It wouldn't surprise me if they used an existing chevy/dodge/ford block and used toyota parts.

i've never thought of the engine toyota is going to use, i don't think i've ever heard of a V8 from toyota. this will be one of their first pushrod engines and i think it will take them a little while to get the motor right. but chevy, ford or dodge would have to let them use their engine block, if they use it without their permission they could run into some problems. i don't want toyota in this awesome sport of american cars (or at least american designed cars). i think they should stick to drifting and F1.

Seeing NASCAR actually accepting this just further makes me believe that this day in age, it's all about the money.
