I was driving my girlfriends car, an SL55 AMG, and I just couldnt help myself.

That car FLOATS at that speed, its rather incredible.

I haven't been caught yet. On Sunday I went to the LHS, and on the freeway I just "happen" to reach 100 in my corolla w/o knowing, ya know? It seems to easily reach that speed....

yeah i was probably doing 105 on a bored Yamaha banshee at my uncles yesterday, it was on a privet beach though :\ have fun with your ticket, don't speed on the roads

In Canada we have a new "street racing" law, meaning if you are 50km/h or more over the limit you get:

Immediate seven (7) day driver's licence suspension
Immediate seven (7) day vehicle impoundment
Minimum fine fine of two thousand ($2000.00) dollars
Drivers licence suspension of up to one year
Second conviction drivers licence suspension of up to ten (10) years
Imprisonment for a term of not more that six (6) months

Your GF would have been pissed if you got her car impounded!! Personally I think its a stupid law. If you are driving in a 50 that isn't a built up area you are going to assume its an 80, and naturally because its an 80 you will drive 100......get pulled over and its hello public transportation.

yeah. we have alot of undercover cops in dodge chargers and when they blew by him sitting on the side of the road they just pulled over and waited for him to catch up. honestly i cant say if i would have done the same thing if i was driving.[sm=rolleyes.gif]

My worst ticket ever was for $500.. in my younger and dumber days.. but glad that I haven't had any tix since.. (for years now..) Let's keep it that way, LOL!

Yeah, when I buy my next car, which I plan on doing some mods to there is no way in heck I am going to drive that fast on the highways. It just isn't worth it, if not for you think of the other poor people driving and obeying the rules and have too look out for 100 mph+ car barreling down the road.

Also you got off so easy you shouldn't be complaigning you should be happy I would have thought that speed would warrant maybe a $400 ticket.

One more thing, the police Chargers are hot!!! The town over from me uses those exclusively now and I am jealous ha ha.

You're complaining about a 175 dollar speed ticket when doing 105 in a 65??? Even though you were in a mercedes AMG there is no reason to go that fast. Imagine if you would of crashed, you would be guilty of destroying a mercedes and worse yet could of taken the life of yourself or someone else's.

You got very lucky. My sister got a ticket for $400 for doing 95 when the limit was 65 on the freeway. They let you off real easy.

We have the Unmarked dodge chargers over here too, i seen several of them pull over people.

If you where in Philadelphia they impound your car and loose your license for one year. could see jail if it was a weekend and the cop was in a bad mood. A lot of people die on philly roads going that fast so the police just don't play when it comes to that. Oh and you don't get the car back. over a 100mph is a bad thing in this town and I guess it's for other people to keep them safe at a 100 you just can't react fast enough.

over here thats like doing around 180 in a 100 KMH zone, the cops here will crush your car, slap you with a $5'000 fine and likely 6 months jail time and lose of license for at least a year or more, doing 130 in a 100 zone here is instant loose your license speed..

wow, some of those countries are harsh! back in croatia, me and my cousin were doing 240 km/h in his Skoda, dont ask me how, but we were. im really scared of going fast in cars, because i flipped in a car with my aunt once, and i just cant stand it. Im still young, so it might go away, but if i drive something myself, like my motorcycle, i feel a lot safer.

yo ttoks how far do you have to go to hit the open field like what I see on the croc hunter. It must be the best place on earth if you have a dirt bike. could you build a sand buggy with a monster V8 and take it to the outback and go full open throttle?
