I've been loosely looking for a new place too. Ready for a change. I own my own business, could probably be up and running almost anywhere, not that I want to do that anymore. Like I said, ready for a change.
Don't go underground -
good segue for a tune I really like and this version just screams influence by the late great Bill Withers

never cared for Joan Jett. no idea why.
just be glad it wasn't this stuck in your head.

both are from ether the same commercial or at least a commercial for the same radio station

i originally didn't care for Sum 41. i like punk rock, but intentionally avoided as much of the pop punk craze in the early 2000's as i possibly could. the closest i got was just hearing it on the radio, which was background noise in most cases. but iv been going back and listening to some of the early 2000's pop punk lately and some of it isn't bad. Sum 41 actually has some pretty good songs.
today iv been all over the place musically

crap - I was mixing Sum 41 up with Papa Roach. This has been stuck in my head now. Of course it's Papa Roach that I feel meh about.
Sum 41 is alright, not super distinguishable from a few other bands of that era.
I read through the list of tunes you put up and it makes me realize how little music we get here (Pittsburgh). I've only heard of half of those bands. No wonder I'm starved for good, new music.

i actually really liked the Infest album back in high school. after that i only heard the singles that got some radio play. but spent lots of time with Infest blasting while me and friends played 4 player Goldeneye on N64. good times.
