Default I got a job at Sonic today

I went "in" and talked with a manager. I'm a cook and get paid $6.50 an hour. I'll probably start Monday. Does anyone work at Sonic and could give me some insight?

Only the cool ones!

Actually I think they stopped the skates a LONG time ago. Sonic isn't bad though, I like the slushie's.

I think the skates are up to the workers. last time I went to sonic (I had to go, I was riding with my bro and he went) one worker was wearing skates the other wasn't.

They are, but cooks don't wear them (for obvious reasons). You get paid extra if you wear them though, I think.

It's going up but I'm the highest paid except for managers I think. The "waiters" get paid less.

LOL. Well. My pay is actually more variable. It is typically from $50-$100. I dont get paid by the hour in the first place, I get paid per task. However since I can do multiple in an hour that is how I come up with those numbers. It really depends on my work ethic at the time.

I highly doubt someone who has not worked 1 hr at a place makes the highest wage besides managers... And if thats the case dont bother working there cuase you will never make any money. I am not saying waiteress make more an hour in pay but i mena other cooks. But in the end the waitresses make way more money then you and the shift managers most likely.

$6.50 is more than the people who give you your food make. I know a girl who works there and she gets paid like $5.85.
There isn't many jobs at Sonic, there's cook, dinks, and the "waiters." The "waiters" get tips but I wasn't counting that at the time.

yes but the experianced cooks and dinks (what ever that is) are making more then you most likely and if there not theres not much of a chance to get a raise there.

Experienced cooks in a fast food joint? Does that mean being able to flip a burger in the air or being able to assemble a hamburger in under 15 seconds?

Assemble? Is that anything like building a kit?! If it is, I can do that great.

Edit: I know its not going to be great. I used to do stucco in 100F weather with 120% humidity almost everyday of the week. Plus I had to haul 200-300lb of concrete all day. Putting the mixer on the truck and building/tearing down scaffolds is the BEST part of that job. I don't think Sonic will be as bad as that.

I don't need a job though. But I need to feed my addictions.
