RE: Change
canada wants us to have Loonys
how can you take money seriously when it loony?
al though having coins would be allot nicer then having paper
is more compact, looks cooler (the pirate in me thinks so), and best of all cant rip or get ruined from being washed or over time in general

RE: Change
its much better than that new fangled foldin money lol. A guy made the local news last year for taking in about a dozen garbage cans filled with quarters to buy a new $36,000 dodge ram truck, he claimed to have been saving for nearly 28 years since he bought his last pickup. Did anyone see the $267,000 or something like that worth of nickles from that semi wreck earlier this week? what a mess

RE: Change
In canada we have both the 1$ and 2$ coins, the 1$ is called a loony because it has a loon on it. I understand why they are doing this but honestly I find it ridiculous because you can find yourself with so much change after a little while. Like wisconsin said, soon we will need those leather purses that attach on our belts like back in medieval times lol.
The name for our 2$ was put up to a vote and they came up with tooney [:'(].

Is this wad of paper even honored in Australia? I know in the US foreign currency has to be converted into USD. I only know of a handfull places along the along the southern border that accepts the Mexican Peso. But along the US & Canadian border, many places up there will accept USD and CD without worries (I know I would, Canadian currency is now worth more than the US gimp dollar). Even with the money changer's fee, you will still be making a profit by taking CD & changing it into USD, that is, if you are smart & shrewd enough to get some Canadian folks to give you one CD for every USD you have!

RE: Change
I have to admit, Aussie money looks alot prettier than the USD greenbacks. Well, mostly greenbacks, USDs are getting additional colors to make them harder to forge.

RE: Change
Don't feel bad man, my thread about the forum slow down got locked cause someone started questioning the mods, I don't know why they didn't just delete his post, instead they locked the thread. I just don't get it. Maybe people where right after all.
Maybe things will -change-
