1970 Plymouth Satellite....440/ auto....kinda sorta a resto...not original, but I just want to make it a nice fun car....I just need to get the trans line redone, and get the front aligned after it's rebuild....we put discs on it....and new bushings, torsion bars, shocks, headers/exhaust.....I have ton of stuff for it....

Nice cars. The closest I ever came to a classic was a (1970?) Barracuda that my (ex) girlfriend's dad was going to give me. The guy had about 20 cars on his property in various states of operation, this one needed quite a bit of engine and interior work but the body was alright. The cars were a hobby for him which is why he had so many, he'd fix them up in his spare time. Too bad we broke up before I got my prize. [&:]

This wasn't it, but it looked a lot like this:

Then again maybe not. Not everyone's american ya know.

I wish I had pics still, but sadly I don't. I've owned a number of Mk2 VW Golf GTis (all pre 1990), you guys call them rabbits for god only knows what reason. I modified and restored them all before moving on to other things, but I will own one again, the car has a very special place in my heart. I also had an Audi quattro coupe many years ago.

Currently I have a car which is destined to become a classic, but not yet. The Honda S2000 ceases production this year after exactly 10 years virtually unchanged on the market, and still looking as modern today as it did when the first one rolled out of the factory in 1999. Not to mention of course, it's still one of the finest drivers cars on the road. You have to spend more than double to get something else that is anywhere near as exciting to drive, and more than triple to find something which is 'better' in any meaningful way. It's one of the few cars I've ever owned (and I've owned a LOT), that really excites me and makes me happy EVERY single time I drive it. Sometimes, I sit there and laugh out loud as I go through a tunnel at 200kph (125mph) vtec'ing in 5th at 8000rpm+ on a warm night with the top down. Freaking awesome in every way. Even my GF loves it and she hates speed in general.

the sickest part of this is alot of us older guys had dozens or hundreds of chances at $850 69 chevelles, $350 66 impalas, $700 big block novas, mustangs, gtos, 442 oldsmobiles all under $2000 at the time, the list goes on and on, I passed on a $6,000 hemi challenger once because it needed quarterpanels, restored it would be six figures easy seven if it were done right.

I really hate to sound like a J@ck@$$.... but i would have found some kinda way to love that girl like crazy to get that car. i dont believe i would really use her like that. if it happened i would have to continue all that good lovin' till i died(must bury me in with car).
j/K
anyway wish i had pics, but i am passively working on my 66mustang. 289 coupe. i work real hard for money but it cant go to the car cuz i am married with children. when i was singleit use to be my daily driver and i was thrilled about that thing. i am major depressed cuz i have to commute to work in my wifes 95 civic due to gas prices[]. Havent heard the precious V8 in 2 years...i am on the verge of a breakdown[&:] lol
