I wish I had a classic car, even one to restore. The classic American Muscle that I really would covet is the Crysler-Dodge Chargers:

cool. kind of on the topic of moving. when my dad was younger he stored 2 engines for a friend that had no place to put them. he had them for about a year. and when the guy had the space for them he took um back and gave my dad a 409 (only made for about four years(nice engine) for storing them for him. well in the 80's he was offered 2 or 3,000 dollars for it. by somebody else. a few years later him and my mom where going to move so he moved it into my grandmas house so they didn't have to move it with them (they didn't live with her they where just close to her). well in October my grandma passed away (my grandpa passed in 2001) so we are going to move to her house to keep it in the family so ya. me and my dad are going to put it in something(im 14) and its going to be awesome.

My 65 Fastback, is started life as a 6 banger, the slowest car I've ever driven. It was my first car, and no I am not going to sell it. The last one is the RS4 that I made to match it.

My first car was a '65 'Stang, but the square back. My dad wanted me to get it, wasn't gonna let me get the one I wanted, which was a '57 BelAir. Classic cars have had a spot in my head all my life, and I have been looking for something lately to have fun with in my "reclining" years. Trying to negotiate price on a '68 Vette convertible right now. All original (well, repainted and new canvas top), matching numbers, 327 4-speed, 78K miles. Looks like I'll have to spend my retirement $$$ quick before the banks turn it to chickenfeed. You can see a little of it (silver Vette) next to the Lincoln below.
This'll get you droolin'. Yearly event in my town, every August they close off the downtown courthouse square and main street, all the classic cars in the area come out and show off. Just a taste:

The oldtown street shows like that are the best, they have a really nice one here in El Reno, OK. It takes place right next to the original Routes 66. Saturday night at the show, everybody cruises and does police sponsored burnouts on Route 66. Only the cars in the show get to participate. I used to go to all the shows, I got a wall full of trophys to show for it, but I got tired of all the cleaning and super detail work. I keep it looking nice, but I just drive it more now. Thats where the fun really is.

iv got a 71 bug. i restored it myself in my backyard. did everything to it. paint and body work. interior (including installing the headliner), rewired the hole car. built the motor, it was a 4 year project.

also got a 59 studebaker silverhawk sitting in the garage buried under boxes and other crap waiting for restoration. i think its been in the family sense it was new. hasn't been driven sense like 1980. garage kept california car, almost no rust. it'll probably take me a good $40 - $50,000 and a good probably 5 years to do a full body off ground up stock restoration on. one day ill dig it out and start on it. i have no full car pic's the garage is to cluttered to get any, just have a couple of teaser shots

Here's mine... 65 Impala Convertible numbers matching w/283 and Powerglide. It is a good looker, it needs some work that I will eventually get to. I put some nice torque thruster style 18s on it with some meats. The car is loud with headers and new glass packs but the bark is much worse than the bite.
