Will flying those co-axial heli translate to the heli w/ tail rotor?

MSR/120SR or the Revell Proto Max (aka Nine Eagles Solo Pro) would be the best for learning single rotor flight. They still are different from full fledged CP helis (self stablization and will not continue in direction of flight without continous input) but they are much easier to start on.

@ Tommy: Nope, I am heading to Florida on a lil vacation and being the dork that I am I thought why not bring the crawler along. SO! I am shipping it ahead so I won't have any security issues at the airport with it....
@Hedgehog: Nope, sheet styrene, I would have done Lexan but with my tight deadline I scrapped it, for now. Styrene is a lot softer but dirt cheap... time to find out how to make some stencils for the sides

Aahhh...I see why you used the sheet styrene.
Hope you have a good time in Florida.
I've actually shipped check in luggage an entire 1:8 RTR buggy with batteries, glow igniter, tools, etc overseas from San Diego to Dubai. It met me on the luggage carousel in Dubai[X(].
Good luck in Florida and say HI to Mickey and Minnie for me...

RE: THE LOUNGE 3...
Thanks, it should be fun. I tok the car out for its last crawl before Florida... did good but the silly Losi shocks kept binding up front so I decided to do a 'rod end" mod on them. I love the bodyless add on but its turning into a pain to work around so I may yank it, get the suspension good and then throw it back on...

RE: THE LOUNGE 3...
Yup, sure is LB.
Planes, helis, jets, boats, SC, crawlers, on-road touring, drifting, Baja's...and my fav....1:8 buggies and truggies, both electric and nitro (I do nitro).
Here's a thread I started a couple years ago: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_7841357/tm.htm
We've had to build our own track and all due to the lack of support from the LHS's [:-].
There's even some specialty Frankenstein stuff as well like Baja 'based' drag racing on sand, dune climbing and long distance Baja racing. This one's the scariest. Basically the operator straps himself into a chair in the back of a Toyota Hi-Lux and his mates drive like banshees through the desert for about 30 klicks following the Baja. Each one is done seperately against the clock. The one with the fastest time wins.

RE: THE LOUNGE 3...
I don't do any of this stuff, but here's some basic dune dragging:

My mate Ahmed with his Baja, filmed by my other mate Fiddler.

This one's an organized competition held at a massive sand dune called 'Big Red'.

Here's a whole series of vids made by fiddler at our old track (that's me at 2:46 lighting the cig and me in my Pathfinder chasing the run-a-way at the end ): Note the Chargers sticker in the back window..

another in the 'series'

That's me in the beginning with the silly hat doing what looks like a rain dance [8D]

My buggy in the opening sequence and me wrenching in the silly hat again

We have a good time [8D]

Speaking of, I stripped a gear in my 1/5th and just finally got around to replacing it, up and running now
Maybe I shouldn't drive a whole tank on 2 wheels anymore
