How did you find RCU?
For me I had just bought my first nitro and was having a hard time with it. Not wanting to pay the 40$ an hour at my LHS I decided to do some research and found a thread that I bookmarked. Once I was done with that problem I started looking around the site and was impressed with all the info and great people, so I joined and the rest is history. Now I cant pass one day without checking in at least 3 times a day, as long as Im in a place that has internet .
So how did you end up on RCU?

RE: How did you find RCU?
I was searching for "homebuilt RC car" when I started out building and it took me here.
Out of the half dozen or more forums I check daily, this is the only one that's moving along every day.
Some don't get a single post in weeks.
Guess most people end up here in the end.

RE: How did you find RCU?
I was looking for large scale RC bodies and some options and ran across this place through a search. I never did find the body style I wanted, but the forums sure stuck with me
Also this is the best resource for home built stuff, in my opinion.

RE: How did you find RCU?
I was trolling the internet for pr0n, when I cam across the Pretty Women and Bikini Models thread...
Nah, all of the good members had disappeared from the other R/C forums I frequented, so I went looking for a new place. I had heard of RCU, but hadn't been to the site since my other account was deleted 4+ years ago.

I found this place when I wanted to see what hop ups were available for my Jato. This is the most active forum I have been on in regards to rc and love it.

I just bought a Lunch Box after filling a childhood desire and did a search on the net for upgrade info and found Lunchboxer's infamous Lunch Box thread. Since then I am now 13 cars deep with a angry wife. What a difference a year makes!

RE: How did you find RCU?
Wow, that was a long time ago and my memory sucks.
I think that I'd just dug out an old Kyosho nitro car and was looking for parts. Anyway, that's as good an explanation as any. Whatever it was, after following several other RC sites, I'm pretty much down to this one.
One thing for sure, sites as good as this one are few and far between! The Mods deserve a big THANK you for all their efforts to keep it a pleasant place to visit.

When was RCU established?
When was RCU established?
On a side note, it would be nice to have a little sticky or something that would detail the history of the site. Maybe in the comunity tab at the top of the page or someplace like that.

Looking for a review on a product.... I think. Joined way back when they Use to have a specific Hpi On/off road section. The section Died out over the years and the mods ended up just ditching the Hpi On/off road section (cant blame em)
