Default Limited Space Work Bench

I have very limited space to work on my cars. At the moment, I'm taking up a corner of the dining room table when I need to wrench, but it tick's the wife off to no end.

We're about to move to a slightly larger flat and I'm thinking of trying to make a small corner of the living room my wrenching hole. Maybe use a cheap Ikea style computer desk or something....

So, anyone else in the same boat? What do you use? Got any pictures?

As always, thanks.

LOL...ya, I have a backyard plastic picnic table sort of thingy I take to the track with me. Legs pop off and it all goes into the back of the car pretty well. But i was thinking something a bit more presentable and with some storage spaces, etc. It kind of needs to be pleasing to the eye so I'm not tickin' the wife off.

Tell the wife to hush. You're the man, act like it.

Yeah right, we all know how that goes. I usually just use the dining room table with a towel on top of it. Works for several different things.

Ijust use a corner of my room: the makeshift truck-stand is an old empty case of clementines, and I store my tools in my tool bag. I keep my extra parts in a sort of tackle box, and all of this fits in the corner of my room

When I lived with my parents, I used a towel and the kitchen table. Now I have my apartment, and I more or less eat in front of the TV while the kitchen table has been turned into my RC workbench. [&:]

Ya know my wife used to get mad at me too, then she realized I'm not out causing or getting into trouble and she always knows where I'm at.

i love these threads. its interesting to see to see how others work on there rc's.
im lucky enough to have a full shop. it is always a pig sty but its big enough for the mess.
i have a built-in table that i wrench on, a steel table that has my grinder mounted to it and a bunch of crap every where else, an old dining room table that i use to weld on and there is a small room built in a corner that i use for storage.

i really should clean it. i will post pics when i get a new memory card for my camera (stupid sister).

oh yeah, i would check out good will for an old desk. they make great work benches with lots of storage space, mine has drawers big enough for a 1/12 scale pan car. i always see them for maybe 20-30 bucks.

Well Guy's,
I am pretty fortunate as I have a whole den to myself and a fairly large custom made maple bar to work off of.. Do not have to trouble the wife as she has the rest of the house.. She says she wished I would spend as much time with her as I do my Rc's.. LOL...

God Speed!!
