If you wanna be the best, you gotta use the best ;) I'm a gamer, I don't use wireless mice. Until now. 1000hz polling, 5600dpi, equivalent acceleration of 50g (unless you are a gaming looney you won't understand this, dw about it, it's good :)). If it was wired it would still be the best mouse on the market. To be wireless too is just icing.

Worth it I think, doubt I'll need another mouse til....ever, actually. :p

Nothing wrong w/ using top-of-the-line stuff.. especially when you actually use it the way it is meant to be used.. !!

Thats funny Gopro's come in a case similar to that. Super nice mouse. If I had a computer that I could actually use the mouse for I would go for it :P

I don't really game much on the PC anymore (though I should since I invested in a fancy system) I have a Razer Lachesis, not as many functions as Foxy's but all of Razer's mice are awesome.

got a razor diamond back can't complain its worked flawlessly for about a year or two now. My last few mice I had prior would only last 5 months before the left button would stop working [:@]
I'm not a fan of wireless devices too many times have the batteries taken a dump on my old wireless setup when I was in the middle of a game causing me to lose/die.
After that I went to strictly corded products on my main PC

The on the fly DPI changing is awesome for Bad Company 2. The battery empties out pretty quick though. I dont use the Razer drivers on my laptop, the default ones work perfectly that windows installs.

Speaking of Razer products. Anyone see their new Laptop? HOLY .......[X(]

People are happy with that thing..? It's pretty lackluster, especially for 2800 bucks.

And what benefit does high DPI give? I always find I do better with the lowest DPI setting on my MX518.

You'll notice a significant increase in smoothness and accuracy if you put your mouse dpi on full, then use the slider in windows to lower the sensitivity. Also, NEVER tick that box that says 'Increase pointer accuracy'. It reduces pointer accuracy on mice like this.

Not being funny, but I've been using high dpi gaming mice since the ball driven boomslang, 8 or 9 years ago (Razer's first pro gaming mouse) and while I like nice things, I wouldn't spend that kind of money if I couldn't tell the difference. I realise not all people will be able to tell, but for me it's worth it.

My last few mice have been... Razer Mamba (current), Razer Naga Epic, Razer Naga, MS Sidewinder X8, Razer Diamondback, Logitech G5, Razer Copperhead, Razer Boomslang.

The next best after the Mamba in my opinion was the Copperhead, since then I've been struggling to find a mouse that truly satisfies me.

The mamba has all the touches. It can be used while being charged (important!!), it can even be used in cabled mode for tournaments, but with the 1000hz polling, it's really hard to tell you are using a wireless anyway. It feels great, and most important of all...in my opinion, Razer mice have always been too light. Due tot he fact this is wireless, it is much heavier. While some may see that as a disadvantage, I love it. Kinda like adding stabilisers to a bow.

I'll give it a good test tonight on Deus Ex Human Revolution.
