RE: Pics of everyones 1:1 Bikes
Wow nice bikes everyone. Its kind of funny that I saw this thread I have been seriously debating whether or not to get a bike or a car.... Of course I have no experience with a bike but everyone's a noob once right? I really like bikes but seeing that a car can be more practical I cant choose.

ORIGINAL: Ttam Says Blarg I have no experience with a bike but... Get a learner bike and ride it for a GOOD while and make the noob mistakes with that (care & maintainance, dropping it in the driveway, first lay-down, etc.) before you get something big and cool. Wear your gear and don't be a pre-mature organ donor and you will enjoy motorcycles! |

Ya I was looking at the ninja 250 I can't belive how cheap they are. Debating on the 250 or 500 I don't want buy something agian in a year.

RE: Pics of everyones 1:1 Bikes
The 500 would be fine to learn and they are good bikes for the $. You might as well buy an older one in good cond because the new ones are the same bike as the old ones (cheap old technology). $5000 new, $1500 good used. A bike like the SV650 is still forgiving enough but will yake longer for your skills to outgrow.

Been riding motorcycles none stop for over 35 years my first love. I do not ride fast any more but I do ride far. On the bike in the pictures I have been in all but 5 states not counting Hawaii. In 2005 I rode form Macon, Georgia to Alaska and back over 10,000 miles in 4 weeks. There will never be another rode trip in my life to compare. The first 4 years I owned this bike I put over 75,000 miles on it. The bottom picture is a old picture of my 1946 flat head Harley I built out of pieces. It has been in 14 shows one 22 awards been in 3 magazines and one news paper. Been driven on 1,800 mile rod trips.

Had to dig but I found some old pics. Red 1994 VFR 750 & 1995 CBR 600. I rode avidly for 10 years. Both sold[&o]
I learned on a Magna 750, first bike was a 1984 VF500 Interceptor. I love the V-4! The red VFR with the pipe sounded like a little V-8 |
