stupid/ dumb law in Simi Valley, CA
Watch out guys and gals that reside in Simi Valley, CA - I was browsing through the dumbest/ stupidest laws in the states of our union, and get this:
10-1.03 Restricted acts.
It shall be unlawful for any person within the limits of public schools, parks, recreation areas, and open spaces which are now or which may hereafter be within the City, including all grounds, roadways, avenues, parks, buildings, campgrounds, swimming pools, equestrian trails, bicycle trails, hiking trails, and school facilities under the control, management, or direction of either the Simi Valley Unified School District and the Simi Valley Recreation and Park District:
(d) To play or engage in the flying of motorized or self-propelled model airplanes or rockets or motorized self-propelled model cars and boats, the driving of golf balls, archery, baseball, softball, football, soccer, volleyball, or any similar game of a hazardous nature, except at such places and times as shall be especially set apart for such purposes; (� 6315, S.V.M.C., as amended by � 1, Ord. 193, and � 1, Ord. 237 C.O., eff. February 11, 1976)
I guess the mayor at that time travelled through time and saw Clint Eastwood's movie The Dead Pool.
Do any cops give you a hard time about operating anything R/C? I get it here in MA, but I bark right back at the the cops that 1) There's no law that prohibits it, and 2) I have enough judgement when and when not to operate my car in public, and 3) Harrassment, bullying, or any and all means of intimidation could cost them their badges. I get harrassed once in a while, but after looking up the laws here, I'm in the right - not them.
Do you guys get harrassed too?

Cities pass these laws that are never really inforsed or inforsable to remove themselves from Liability,,,
See, if you're flying your plane in viloation of the city law, you are the liable party, not the city.
I doubt any Simi Cop is going to give you a hard time unless you're making a spectical of yourself.
