Phil Kraft Has Passed Away
Phil Kraft passed away April 9, 2006.
Phil's achievements are manyfold, amongst them is his most popular one (back then and now), the original Ugly Stick designed in 1965 and featured as a construction article in RC Modeler. The Ugly Stick was kitted in '72 and has gone to become one of the most popular designs in R/C. Little did Phil ever imagine his humble Ugly Stick would remain in the R/C scene for so long, much less dream it would go through as many incarnations through the years as it has.
All of the Sticks on the market today trace their ancestry back to Phil's original humble model of 1965.
May Phillip O. Kraft Rest In Peace.
EDIT:
